Notice of Call – 98th Annual General Meeting of the Provincial Council

It’s that time of year where we turn our attention to the forthcoming Annual General Meeting of the MTS Provincial Council. By the guidelines set out in the SRTA Statement of Policies and Procedures, the official SRTA delegates to Provincial Council have been selected. They are: Rebecca Brown, Vice-President; Cindy Mason, Secretary; Eric Lindquist, Treasurer; Dan Lagace, Collective Bargaining & Resolutions Chair; Jenn Lapkin, Education Finance Chair; Lisa Harder, Equity and Social Justice Chair; and Kaitlan Fisher, Professional Development Chair.

At the next Council meeting on February 21, 2017, we will be giving information to Council reps in regards to our procedures for filling in alternate positions for AGM participation. If you have any questions, please email SRTA President Jonathan Waite at president@srteach.org.

NOTICE OF CALL

This notice is given in compliance with Bylaw II of The Manitoba Teachers’ Society.

The 98th Annual General Meeting of the Provincial Council of The Manitoba Teachers’ Society will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 25, 26 and 27, 2017 at the Fairmont Hotel, Winnipeg.

The Provincial Council consists of representatives named by teacher associations and Les éducatrices et éducateurs francophones du Manitoba plus the members of the current Provincial Executive. The number of delegates representing each association depends on the number of members in that association.

L’avis de convocation a été envoyé en conformité avec le principe directeur II de la Manitoba Teachers’ Society.

La 98e Asssemblée générale annuelle du Conseil provincial de la Manitoba Teachers’ Society aura lieu à 9 h les 25, 26 and 27 mai 2017 à l’hôtel Fairmont, Winnipeg.

Le Conseil provincial est formé des personnes représentantes nommées par les associations locales d’enseignantes et d’enseignants et par les Éducatrices et éducateurs francophones du Manitoba ainsi que des membres de l’Exécutif provincial. Le nombre de personnes déléguées nommées pour représenter une association locale est basé sur le nombre de membres actifs de cette association.
