welcome to the

Seine River Teachers’ Association

Our Beliefs

The Seine River Teachers’ Association is located on Treaty 1 lands; the original lands of the Anishinabe, Ininíwak, Anishinini(wak), Dakota and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Red River Métis nation.

The Seine River Teachers’ Association respects the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with the Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.

The Seine River Teachers’ Association is firmly committed to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within our schools and our Local association. We recognize that safe and welcoming educational environments are essential for the success and well-being of all students and staff. It is our responsibility to ensure that every individual is treated with dignity and respect, and that their unique perspectives are valued. Through our collective efforts, working within our schools and workplaces and also with parents and community members, we will act in ways that embody fairness, inclusivity, and mutual support, fostering a community in which all can thrive.
