We are excited to announce that applications for our $750 education bursaries are now open!
An annual bursary will be awarded to a graduating student at each high school in the Division, as well as a recipient that is part of the graduating class at the Ste. Anne Adult Learning Centre (ALC). Each recipient will receive $750.
The high school bursaries are designed for students who are entering their first year of a post-secondary program. Applicants must indicate their desire to work with students/youth. Preference will be given to students who are planning to become a teacher. Other areas, including Social Worker, Early Childhood Educator, Youth Care Worker, may be considered. The recipients of these awards will demonstrate a strong academic standing and work ethic, personal integrity, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and a commitment to learning. These students have a positive relationship with staff and serve as a mentor to their peers.
The bursary for the ALC recipient is designed for the student who has demonstrated perseverance and dedication to their studies while completing their mature student diploma program. The recipient of this award will demonstrate a strong academic standing and work ethic, personal integrity, excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, leadership abilities and a commitment to learning. These students have a positive relationship with staff and serve as a mentor to their peers.
