Seine River School Division Trustee Elections Questionnaire 2026

On October 28, 2026, there will be school board elections across Manitoba, including right here in the Seine River School Division.  In each of the three wards in SRSD, people will be going to the polls to choose three trustees for their region.

The candidates in each SRSD region are listed below in alphabetical order by last name.

Ward 1: Vicky Kiansky, Steve Proskurnik, Neil Reavely, Warren Reavely
Ward 2: Karen Alevizos, Lori Gauthier, Chad Kessler, Robin Marchadour, Abdulai Fallah Tengbeh, Marinus Van Osch
Ward 3: Fabiola Hiebert, Robert Rivard, Lise Verrier, Krystyn Zaretski

As we did during the last two rounds of elections in 2018 and 2022, we took the opportunity to ask the candidates a series of questions on behalf of our Local members. We have published these answers in a special volume of The Seine Scene, our Local association newsletter. All opinions expressed are those of the candidates, and their responses appear unedited.

All candidates chose to respond, and their responses are summarized on the pages that follow, in alphabetical order by last name.

Editor’s note: On pages 29, 30, and 31, a candidate states that the number of teachers in Seine River is 297. According to records provided by the Seine River School Division, there are currently 383 active teachers working in Seine River.

We’d like to thank the candidates for taking the time to answer our questions.  We encourage all SRTA members to vote in their regions on October 28!
