The Seine Scene October 2026 Newsletter

The Seine Scene is back for another school year! Our October 2026 edition is ready for your reading pleasure.

After some reminders and updates from SRTA president Jonathan Waite, we get into submissions from the SRTA Executive team, including a photo montage from this year’s Trivia Night. The Executive also has information about the SRTA Wellness fund, changes to the MPSE Blue Cross extended health plan, a reminder about the Kii counselling service, and information on two professional learning opportunities related to Indigenous education. We include info about the MTS public media campaign You Do The Math, and provide updates on wellness resources and virtual maternity/parental seminars provided by MTS. We also have an update on online pre-retirement seminars being offered by the Retired Teachers’ Association of Manitoba (RTAM). We end the issue with eight wonderful articles from SRTA members who took part in professional development over the summer with funds from the SRTA PD Fund. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this issue, and to SRTA Public Relations chair Ashley McKague for putting it all together.
