SRTA Member up for 2013 #PhysEd Award!
We want you to show your support for SRTA member Brian Gadient! Brian is the man behind the fantastic web site PhysEd Games and its YouTube video series PhysEdGames. The site is a must-see for many teachers, and not just those that specialize in physical education, as it includes a number of easy-to-understand videos for simple games geared towards early years students. Combined, the videos have over 50,000 views which Brian also promotes on his Twitter account @physedgames.
PhysEd Games is being recognized as one of the nominees for the new annual #PhysEd awards over at The Physical Educator, a web site dedicated to “[promoting] change in Physical Education through quality teacher resources and online professional networking and development.” There are four categories in which nominees have been named (Best Individual #PhysEd Teacher Blog, Best Individual #PhysEd Teacher Twitter Account, Best #PhysEd YouTube Account, and Best #PhysEd App) and Brian’s video series is nominated in the YouTube category. The rules on the web site state that “the voting period will last from Tuesday July 16th to Friday July 19th,” and so we’re helping to get the word out by sharing this post on our web site, Twitter feed and Facebook page.
Brian is a very dedicated teacher and is deserving of this award, so we encourage all of our members and teachers province-wide to head on over to the voting page to vote for Brian and PhysEd Games as best YouTube account for the 2013 #PhysEd award!
