The Young Humanitarian Awards

Last night we were there for the Young Humanitarian Awards sponsored by The Manitoba Teachers’ Society, and it was an awe-inspiring and wonderful event. There were three individuals and two groups that were recognized for everything from collecting blankets for the homeless, raising funds for cancer care, establishing the town of Gimli as a fair-trade town, donating over 300 pairs of jeans to homeless youth, and raising awareness of water issues on Manitoba reserves.
