MTS Bonspiel 2019

The Western Teachers’ Association will be hosting the 2019 Manitoba Teachers’ Society Bonspiel from March 1-3, 2019 at the Morden Curling Club in Morden. This is the 51st time this event will be taking place, and the first outside of Brandon in a few years.  The entry fee is $200 per rink and includes 4 dinner/dance tickets. This is a great event for all skill level of curlers. First timers or seasoned champions are welcome to go out and enjoy the weekend!

A spot has been reserved for each Local Association which will be accepted along with additional entries until Friday, February 15th, 2019. If you are interested in registering a team for this event, please let the SRTA president (president@srteach.org) know no later than Monday, February 11th, 2019.  As per Policy I, Article 6.3, registration costs for one team to participate in the MTS Annual Curling Bonspiel are covered. If more than one team is interested, the cost of one team shall be divided equally.

Additional information:

• Accommodations for out-of-town rinks are available at either the Morden Motor Inn (1-877-376-1769), Super 8 Motel (1-204-822-2003), or Bella’s Castle (1-204-823-0810).
• Each rink (team) must have two women and two men with members of each sex playing alternate positions.
• Curling will begin Friday evening.  WestTA will accommodate the draw for teams travelling.  Saturday curling continues all day with a social evening to follow. Teams are invited to participate in the Saturday night supper and live entertainment (BK and the Bad Habits). This is all included in the entry fee.  Sunday curling will resume in the morning with the finals later in the afternoon.
