SRTA Newsletter October 2017
Hot off the press, it’s the October 2017 edition of the SRTA Newsletter! Our first newsletter of the 2017-2018 school year is our biggest to date and includes a whopping fourteen articles by SRTA members who attended PD opportunities over the summer. This issue also includes a special article by Karen Smit on Project Overseas, the Canadian Teachers’ Federation project that sees teachers from Canada working with colleagues in other countries. Karen was able to travel to Burkina Faso, Africa to do important work over the summer break.
We’ve also included information from SRTA President Jonathan Waite, Professional Development Chair Kaitlan Fisher, and Employee Benefits Chair Leslie Buffie. And as always, there are a great number of articles from the Manitoba Teachers’ Society, including updates on the fight against Bill 28. Big thanks to Public Relations Chair Sandy Turcotte for pulling together this gigantic edition of the newsletter!
The digital version of the newsletter can be found on our Scribd page or by clicking on the image of the newsletter in this post. A print copy will be delivered to all schools and workplaces via the divisional courier.
